About Jeslyn

Hello, my name is Jeslyn and I'm a 7th grade student at Chadwick International School.

I am a student who is driven, accountable, and motivated to learn. My motto is "I decide, I take responsibility."

One of my biggest achievements was when I set a goal for myself to become the double bass representative for the middle school orchestra. At first, learning the double bass was a challenge, but I was proud of myself after reaching my goal.

One of my biggest hardships was when I could no longer practice rhythmic gymnastics due to a knee condition called Osgood-Schlatter disease. It was unexpected and saddening, but I overcame the obstacle by improving my strength through practicing yoga and pilates.

Joy of Learning

My favorite subjects in school are maths and Spanish.

I remember having a memorable conversation with my physics teacher. We started talking about physics and ended up discussing astronomy. This is how I realized that all subjects are closely intertwined with each other and are connected in one way or another.

I find that setting goals for myself, planning out my schedule, and finding ways for academic success are all problem-solving skills, just like maths. This process requires hard work, but it is also rewarding.

With My Family

My family consists of my parents, my puppy Pompom, and me. My biggest source of inspiration is my family.

I am confident in myself and I am able to take on new challenges because I know that my family will always be my biggest supporters.
